Tres Cruces

This is a painting of the Holy Family Cathedral in downtown Tulsa that I painted before their recent renovation of the spires. Initially my goal was to paint it in the manner of the impressionists; to sort of pay tribute to Monet but to give it my own style. To "make it my own" as the saying goes. I learned much during this process and, most of all, I gained an even greater appreciation of the French Impressionist painters. As always, there are a few things I wish I would have done differently, but for the most part, I was satisfied with the end result.
22" x 28" Acrylic on Canvas
